
Jamey Collins serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Southern Pines College and Career Academy (SPCCA). She began her career as a school counselor, serving students for 13 years before transitioning to On-Site Coordinator at SPCCA. In 2024, she stepped into her current role as CEO.
Ms. Collins earned her Master of Education in School Counseling from Valdosta State University and has dedicated her career to supporting students’ academic and career growth. She works closely with business and industry leaders across Appling, Bacon, and Jeff Davis counties to ensure SPCCA programs align with workforce needs.
She has been married to her husband, Chris, for 15 years, and they share one daughter. Being a mother has strengthened her passion for advocating for students and their success.
She is passionate about providing hands-on learning opportunities and helping students discover meaningful career pathways. Her favorite moments are when students realize their learning connects directly to their future goals.

Amanda Towns serves as the On-Site Coordinator for the Southern Pines College and Career Academy. She has been married for 19 years and has three wonderful daughters.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, and a Specialist degree in School Counseling. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and began her career in mental health, working in a variety of settings with children and families before transitioning into education.
She joined the Appling County School System as a school counselor at both the elementary and high school levels, later serving as Dual Enrollment Coordinator. Helping students plan for their futures has always been a passion of hers.
She is thankful for the opportunity to now serve students from Appling, Jeff Davis, and Bacon counties at SPCCA. It is incredibly rewarding for her to see students grow, gain confidence, and succeed—whether they enter the workforce or continue their education.
She is honored to be part of a team that is making a meaningful impact on students’ lives and futures.
The Governing Board will be comprised of 13 voting members and 9 non-voting members for a total of 22 members.
